About

Originally from Portland, Oregon, and now residing in Southern Oregon, I began my artistic journey photography in my teens. This passion led me to Southern Oregon University, where I earned a BA in Studio Art with an emphasis in Printmaking and a minor in Museum Studies. My artistic endeavors expanded in 2016 when I delved into silver and gold smithing, co-founding Ecotone Jewelers with my husband. In 2022, I embraced painting more seriously, marking a significant evolution in my creative expression.

Art connects me to my spirit and makes me feel most alive and aligned. Initially, as a woodcut printmaker, I favored black ink and elaborate prints inspired by Grimm fairytales. Today, I celebrate bright colors and metallics, rarely using solid black, which reflects my journey from monochrome to vibrant, psychedelic pop surrealism.

My artistic style is influenced by my love of science, nature, and metaphysics. I blend microscopic structures with cosmic backdrops, creating a playful and thought-provoking exploration of the universe. My smaller works often feature vibrant colors and metallic objects, evoking peace and wonder.

I draw inspiration from the intricate beauty of microscopic structures, using unconventional color combinations to bring depth and dimension to my subjects. Acrylics and airbrushes are my preferred mediums, allowing me to achieve vivid and dynamic effects.

While my work has yet to be exhibited, I am committed to pushing the boundaries of my creativity. My future goals include creating larger, more complex pieces and continuing to explore the vibrant interplay of colors and microscopic subjects.
